Simulation CFD Fundamentals 3: Solving and Results Interpretation

Build on your fundamental knowledge of Autodesk Simulation CFD. In this course you'll learn how to set solver settings for common AEC applications. The solver is the physics engine that dictates the results of your simulation, based on your inputs. You'll also learn some best practices on interpreting results to help improve your designs.

Learning Objectives

  • Find and set proper solver options.
  • Learn about monitoring run convergence to confirm valid results.
  • Gain knowledge of how to interpret AEC flow and thermal results.
  • Get hands on experience quantifying the impact of a design change.

This course is based on the content that's found in the following sections of the Intro to Simulation CFD for AEC Applications publication:

  1. Solving in Simulation CFD
  2. Understanding Simulation CFD Results

This online course includes some quizzes to test and track your knowledge, and completing the course is an easy way to meet continuing education requirements for the USGBC.
